As Halloween moves ever closer they discover a young man wandering in the park with blood on his shirt and no idea who he is or what happened! With her nemesis, Detective Havermyer, actually in need of a little help and her bookstore running quite smoothly Jen soon finds herself investigating the confused John Doe, especially as there is a chance he killed someone! As she gets nearer to a solution the stakes raise and her chances of celebrating Halloween look doubtful!
